The dress rehearsal for our first ever “glow show” will take place Thursday, Sept 24th from 8-8:45pm. This is in place of the regular 4:30pm practice. Thank you!!

Aug 8th Hall of Fame Parade
Marching Band members will be meeting at 5:30am for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Parade on August 8th. We hope to return before noon!
Incoming High School Band Member Parent Meeting
We will be having a mandatory meeting for the parents of all freshmen and other new band members on Monday, July 13th at 7pm in the Minerva High School Auditeria. Volunteer responsibilities, the year’s schedule and other important items will be discussed and there will be a time for questions.
On July 16th and 17th from 8am to Noon we will be having a “Rookie Camp” for all new marching band members. During this time we will learn some of the basics of marching that we will be using throughout the season.
We meet to leave for band camp on Sunday, July 19th at 3:30pm at MHS. All forms and fees should be in and paid at that time. We will be staying at Camp Ecco in Carrollton. Friends and family are invited to attend our “Show N Tell” concert at the camp on Thursday, July 23rd at 7pm. We also encourage students to ride home with their families following that performance.

Spring Band Concert Rescheduled
The date for the high school Spring Band Concert also featuring the 8th Grade Band has been moved to Monday, May 18th.
HS Jazz Band Rotary Performance Friday
The MHS Jazz Band will be performing for the Minerva Rotary Club this Friday. Students can be dropped off at Classic 57 in concert black attire at 7:15am with their instrument and music. Students who do not drive to school will be taken to school via school transportation following the event.
March 13th Wind Symphony Contest Itinerary
5:00pm – Meet at MHS with uniform
6:40pm – Warmup begins at North Canton Hoover High School
7:10pm – CONTEST PERFORMANCE
7:45pm – Sight-reading
8:15pm – Visit concession stands and wait for rating
8:45pm – Depart
9:30pm – Return to MHS
Wind Symphony Large Group Adjudicated Event
Wind Symphony members and parents please reserve March 13 and 14th on your calendars for our Large Group Contest performance. This is arguably one of the band’s most important performances of the year as they perform for a panel of judges to receive a rating. The event will take place either on the 13th or 14th. We will get our performance date and time as we get closer to the performance. Thank you.
Halloween Parade
Marching band students will be meeting on Thursday at 6:30pm at MHS dressed in costume for the annual Halloween parade. The parade begins at 7pm. We will do our dress rehearsal immediately following the parade. We plan to finish the practice at 8pm.
