The Middle School Adjudicated Event taking place tomorrow (Saturday) is at Hoover HIGH School NOT the middle school.

The Minerva HS Wind Symphony performed at State Contest on Friday, April 29th at Oakwood Middle School. They received scores of (I) (II) (III) on stage and a (I) in sight-reading, receiving an overall (II) “Excellent” rating. The band performed “Empire State Salute” by Ted  Petersen, “Kentucky 1800” by Clare Grundman, and “Canto” by Francis McBeth.

On May 14th, the Minerva 8th Grade Band will be performing for a panel of judges at North Canton Middle School as part of the OMEA Middle School Adjudicated Event. Performance at this event is a course requirement and will affect the letter grade of all eighth grade band students.

10:15am – Return back at MMS, Unload

The Wind Symphony will be performing at 6pm at Large Group State Adjudicated Event Friday at OAKWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL not the high school. Students should meet at 3:30pm at Minerva High School. We’re hoping to be back in Minerva around 8:15pm. Thanks!

Minerva High School and Middle School Jazz Bands will be hosting a dinner dance the night of May 5th. Students should arrive at 5:30pm in concert black. Music begins at 6:00pm.

3:30pm – Eat and load bus
4:00pm – Depart MHS
5:30pm – Warmup begins at Oakwood Middle School
6:00pm – CONTEST PERFORMANCE
6:35pm – Sight-reading
7:00pm – Visit concession stands and wait for rating
7:30pm – Depart
8:15pm – Return to MHS

Tuesday, April 12 the Jazz Band will be meeting at 6:15pm at the Minerva First Presbyterian Church, 204 Edgewood Dr, Minerva, OH 44657. The band will be performing at a banquet to honor community volunteers. Dress is concert black. We should be done performing around 7:30pm.
