The marching band has added an additional band show to their schedule. The Edison Band Show will take place the afternoon of Saturday, September 16th. A more detailed itinerary will be released closer to the date.

Band Picture Information
Band pictures will take place Monday, August 14th during our morning practice. Students should come prepared to change into their full uniform right away at 8am. All students will need a picture form regardless of whether or not they’re ordering pictures.
Following full band pictures Majorettes would meet at Dunlap Photography at 11 and Color Guard at 11:30 for section pictures.
*Senior poster pictures will take place this Friday, August 11th at 7pm at Dunlap Photography.

Summer Practices
There was a misprint in the marching band handbook. Remaining summer practices will take place Monday through Thursday, 8am to Noon.

Reminder there will be a mandatory meeting for all marching band members and their parents this Thursday, July 6th, 7pm in the MHS band room.

Memorial Day Events
Sunday
7th and 8th Grade Band students performing at Liberty Cemetery
Students either catch the bus at MMS at 12:45pm or meet at the cemetery at 1:10pm.
Monday
Marching Band meeting at MHS at 9am for Parade and East Lawn Cemetery.
Dress is red polos, black shorts and sneakers.
Community Band meeting at Moultrie at 1:30pm
Marching Band Forms Due
Following their audition, all marching band members should receive a packet of information. The forms in that packet are due no later than the last day of school, May 31. This packet can also be downloaded and printed here.
2017-18 Audition Information
All students participating in marching band, jazz band or a concert band next year need to complete an audition by the end of this current school year. Most of these will be taking place 5th and 6th periods during band periods the week of May 22.
R.G. Drage students should pick up an audition packet and sign up for an afterschool audition time in the Minerva High School main office. Students will not be permitted to participate in any ensemble without first completing an audition.
*Also new for 2017-18, all Minerva marching band members will be required to submit to mandatory drug screenings similar to that of MHS Athletics and Cheerleading.
Dinner Dance Orders Due Fri.
Ticket cost is $15 per plate. ($10 for band members). Include payment with this form in a labeled, sealed envelope. Meal entree is a Stuffed Chicken Breast catered by Classic 57. Please indicate if you would like a vegetarian option.
