Fair Show Tomorrow (Tuesday)

Immediately after school tomorrow (8/30) we will be meeting in the band room for the Stark County Fair Show. Dress is full uniform. Pizza will be provided by the band boosters. The time for this event was incorrect in the band handbook. We perform at 5:15pm at the fairgrounds. Students receive a free fair ticket for performing and may stay at the fair with their parents following the performance if so desired.

We hope to return to MHS by 6:30pm.

Sunday, May 29 – 7th/8th Grade Bands at Liberty Cemetery, meet there at 1pm
Monday, May 30 – Marching Band Parade, meet at MHS @ 9am
Monday, May 30 – Community Band at Moultrie Cemetery, meet there at 1:30pm

Wind Symphony State Results

The Minerva HS Wind Symphony performed at State Contest on Friday, April 29th at Oakwood Middle School. They received scores of (I) (II) (III) on stage and a (I) in sight-reading, receiving an overall (II) “Excellent” rating. The band performed “Empire State Salute” by Ted  Petersen, “Kentucky 1800” by Clare Grundman, and “Canto” by Francis McBeth.

8th Gr. Band Contest 5/14

On May 14th, the Minerva 8th Grade Band will be performing for a panel of judges at North Canton Middle School as part of the OMEA Middle School Adjudicated Event. Performance at this event is a course requirement and will affect the letter grade of all eighth grade band students.

7:15am – Meet at MMS Band Room, Load Truck
7:30am – Leave MMS
8:30am – Warm-Up
9:00am – Performance
10:15am – Return back at MMS, Unload

Wind Symphony @ Oakwood

The Wind Symphony will be performing at 6pm at Large Group State Adjudicated Event Friday at OAKWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL not the high school. Students should meet at 3:30pm at Minerva High School. We’re hoping to be back in Minerva around 8:15pm. Thanks!
