On Saturday, February 27th, The Brass Band Of The Western Reserve will be performing a concert at First Christian Church in Minerva at 7:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public. Mr. Maxey will be performing with the band and any band student who attends will receive extra credit. For more information visit www.bbwesternreserve.org
Students and families attending the D.C. parade please mark your calendars now for the following band practices. Practices will take place from 9am-10 in the high school band room.

A message from OMEA District 8 President Richard Kibler:
Based on the most recent weather forecast regarding the movement of a Winter Storm into our area with the potential of significant snow accumulations, we regret to inform and your students that OMEA Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Events at both the Salem and Massillon site will be cancelled for Saturday, February 6. The decision was made by District 8 leadership, both site chairs, and with consultation from OMEA state leadership.
This event will not be re-scheduled as the OMEA Adjudicated Events calendar does not allow the flexibility for this to occur. The decision to cancel was not an easy one as we all know how hard some our students (especially soloists) have worked to prepare for this event.
